Tao Canyon: In Silence and Wisdom Exists the Human Form in Nature

Pat Morrow achieved international renown for being the first person to do the "Seven Summits," scaling the highest peaks on all seven continents. His talk will bring you a rich story of exotic descriptions and Kodachrome film photography. You will be exposed to the intricate shapes, curves and sensual beauty of Earth's chasms. The "Tao Canyon" details the mysterious depths and breadths of over 30 canyons worldwide. Morrow's story commences in 1975 after deciding to document the virtually unknown elegance of slot canyons. During this time, guidebooks were absent, tours too, as were any satellite images to work from. Classic exploration and a desire to seek out places no one knew became the group's ethos. What they discovered was an extraordinary world of natural sculpture and shifting light hidden beneath the harsh surfaces of deserts. This is magical, mystical, meaningful and poetic contemplation.
